    Ziricote Characteristics
    Grain is straight or slightly interlocked.  Medium to fine texture with a good natural luster.  Ziricote is naturally resistant to decay.  For its high density it is fairly easy to work.
    Color Range
    Color ranges form medium to dark brown, sometimes with either a green or purple hue with darker bands of black growth rings intermixed.  Ziricote has a very unique appearance, which is referred to as spider-webbing or landscape grain figure.  Sapwood is pale yellow.
