They are in the condition that I bought them and cannot say what environment (pet , smoke, etc.) they came from. Please note that with "stamped" linen items that the ink is water soluable. The ink saturation may vary from dark to light - it is meant to be stitched and laundered so that the ink washes out and stitching remains. Darker ink may need to be laundered longer or a second time.
