Not suitable for spinning/rotating head lasers where the head actually spins round and round, but it is for lasers where the solid line is projected maybe 360 degrees right round, or 180 degrees, and the laser is spread by a stationery cone, or glass lens and laser has outdoor mode (this means even though you cant see it pulsing with the eye, the laser is pulsing fast so that you can use an outdoor receiver, like this.

The Allenbuild Red Laser receiver is a universal all-purpose receiver, for detecting the red line laser beam in inside or outside conditions where it cannot be seen by the eye. It comes with a rugged bracket which opens to 60mm to fit most aluminum and
staffs and rods. The receiver has two bubbles on it to help the user to keep the rod straight. The bracket is removable and the unit can be used to mark out reference points on walls with a pencil in the grooves provided. It operates on 4 standard AAA batteries (provided) Taiwanese quality.
