slowly-rotating gears visible through the meter's original glass cover.
This glass cover is specially polished to provide an unusually high
level of clarity for the interior working mechanism.

Electric Meter Lamp. Both the meter base and terminal cover have
been plated in
bright brass
. In addition, the meter's brass register gears
display their original 1920's
gold plating
, a process applied to select
meters on the original production line.
Crafted on a round hardwood base with a custom-made linen shade,
this impressive piece exudes uncommon quality and pride of
craftsmanship throughout, right down to the solid brass turned finial.
Included are three copper wire, pressed metal wingnut security seals,
just like the olden-days metermen installed to thwart tampering.
A second in-line cord switch is provided for your convenience.
