LIVE EDGE WALNUT SLAB FLOATING SHELF 14 YRS DRY Bowl Blank 52" L x 2" Thick

Description

An English walnut slab from a tree in southern California.
Slabbed by Alaskan mill in 2006 and air dried since then.
After drying it was remilled flat.
There are some nice colors with a lot of curls, especially along the natural edge. The cracks in the middle have been filled with epoxy.
There are no insects. Everyone or our slabs was coated with a nontoxic (to humans) water-based formula that kills anything that tries to eat into or out of it. (Copper Brite Termite Prufe)
We filled the cracks and knot holes on one side with epoxy. Afterwards that whole side has been sanded down to 220 grit and had a thin coat of poly added to show the grain. Nothing was done to the other side except to be milled flat.
We have one other that is an almost book match for this one.
The measurements on this are 52 1/4" long 1 7/8" thick.
