Here is a beautiful and large vintage Murano glass fish sculpture. It is in the Sommerso technique and made by Luigi Onesto for Oggetti.  He worked for some of the great glass studios in Murano Italy starting at age15, and in the 1970’s he created the Eteria Oball Glass House. There he made specialized pieces, such as this one, for the Oggetti Glass House. Well known for his Sommerso glass, this fish is one of his finest and you can see a rainbow of colors.
The fish is about 19” long and about 9 5/8” tall at the tail. It is quite heavy at 10 lbs 12 oz. and is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or obvious scratches. Some shelf wear on bottom and an old Oggetti label still attached, signed on bottom.
Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when bidding.
