Description
New for August 2020 - 10%+ flame figured wood included - same priceThis listing is for one box full of authentic Hawaiian Koa natural edge, thin crafting boards. Also, known as Acacia Koa.
Koa
is a rich dense exotic wood commonly used for
i
nlays
, veneers, musical instrument parts, furniture, cabinetry,
gun grips
,
knife
grips, ukulele parts, doll house parts, craft wood
, and other high-end specialty millwork parts.
Unfortunately, due its
high cost and scarcity
, few woodworkers ever see much less use this treasured hardwood. Single boards can cost anywhere from 0-2000 pricing Koa out of many woodworkers' budgets.
Koa is expensive and rare because it is grown exclusively in Hawaii. Additionally, since it is a treasured resource inextricably linked to Hawaiian culture, legislation severely restricts its harvest. Generally speaking, the only Acacia Koa trees harvested are ones that have naturally fallen during storms.
We created this craft box for thin Koa boards to affordably bring a little bit of Hawaii to woodworkers everywhere.
Each USPS Medium Size flat rate box is filled with thin Koa wood micro-boards for use in a variety of craft applications.
We fill it to the top...as much as we can fit until that box won't close!

It is all made in the USA! The Koa was grown in Hawaii. The wood is milled at our shop in Southern California.
Can these Koa microboards be matched for grain and/or color?
Most of the microboards in each box are cut from the same Koa log. Thus, matching color and grain should be relatively easy. You
