FIREPLACE LOG CARRIER
I made this for someone that loves hand-made quality and that moves a lot of firewood.
The carrier itself weighs 6lb and is larger/longer than most all log carriers.
The materials cost for this carrier is 0 and I spent about 22hrs making it
which includes 9 hrs saddle-stitching the handles and base.  Saddle stitch is a knot that does not pull out.
No cost was spared on the leather quality.   The thread used is very very strong.
Veg (Vegetable) Tan Leather is the very best.

Threads used: Ritza Tiger Thread 1mm Orange and Gray.

Handles leather wrap, glued, saddle stitched, and copper riveted (size #8).

Inside base leather, 12” x 18.5”, glued, saddle stitched and 4 rivets 1 per corner.

Inside is finished with Tokonole for a clean look and to tighten the inside grain

Exterior finished natural w/Mink oil (will darken with age).
Maintenance/Care – Mink Oil to condition leather and for water resistance.
