GAME USED OFFICIAL NHL PUCK NJ DEVILS 1980s 90s TRENCH GENERAL TIRE CANADA ZIEG

Description

Puck is from no later than the 1991-92 season, and should not be from earlier than somewhere in the mid-to-late 1980s.   NHL game pucks did not have the league president signature until some point after 1985, and maybe even a year or two after that.  Can't remember exactly when they made the change with the signature being present, but puck manufacturers also frequently changed then between Viceroy, Inglasco, and Trench.  If you are looking for game used pucks from a specific year you probably know the signature and manufacturer pairings for the seasons in that timeframe before the visual design of game pucks was significantly changed.
I do know that there were pucks with the Gil Stein signature used for his one year as president after succeeding Ziegler which was 1992-93, so this one is at least one year older than that season.
Went to so many games in the late 80s and had caught several pucks, so unfortunately do not know which game it is from anymore.
Trench was the manufacturer, and the puck has the General Tire logo as well, and also the code E15 on the edge.
