As you can see in one of the pictures, one of the battery contacts on the battery compartment door is gone. It was inside but apparently the door was taken off at some point and the metal contact piece fell out. So, I can't test this for powering on or anything else, so you're buying for parts or not working.
The contact is just a little strip of metal that would form a cross with the other one that is on the door.
It takes 4 C sized batteries.
