What Is A Battery Mat™?
The Battery Mat™ is made of super absorbent polypropylene needle-punched felt substrate that is pressure treated with an all-natural acid neutralizer and sealed with a binder.  The Battery Mat™ is the world's only acid-neutralizing mat designed for use under any lead-acid battery and it is manufactured in the United States of 100% U.S. origin components.

How To Apply The Battery Mat™:
When inserting The Battery Mat™, it should be cut to a size that will provide a skirt area of approximately 1/8" on each side of the battery.  Using a pair of scissors or utility knife cut The Battery Mat™ to the dimensions needed.  Unbolt and remove the battery's "hold down clamp."  With the clamp removed, raise the battery enough to place The Battery Mat™ directly under your battery.  After making certain that the battery is replaced in its proper location, reposition and secure the battery clamp.
Once installed, The Battery Mat™ will trap and neutralize any battery acid that leaks from the terminals or top side of the battery, thus preventing corrosion and expensive damage.  Because of the sealant, The Battery Mat™ can repel water and keep the acid neutralizers sealed in and potent.  Since the sealant is not impervious to battery acid, the acid will seep into The Battery Mat's™ highly porous fabric, where it will be absorbed and harmlessly neutralized.
