I am pleased to offer this gorgeous converted 1973 Porsche 914-6.  This car started life as a desirable small bumper 914 in Southern California. The car was owned and converted by factory Porsche 917 mechanic and IMSA competitor  Volker Bruckmann in the early 2000’s. Car was then owned by other IMSA champion Dick Barbour and later sold to the current owner. A painstaking restoration of this 914-6 was completed making this car so much better than a real 914-6. Car has been loved and stored inside free of poor weather driving and as such is completely corrosion free and solid. VIN # is 4732916271. Mileage shows 48,161 +/-.
    Engine:
Engine is a genuine 1970 911S 2.2 liter with serial number *6301247*.  It was completely restored a number of years back by acclaimed Porsche specialist Akers Porsche in Seattle and sat on display on an engine stand in the previous owners showroom. Engine was purchased about two years ago by the current owner and a PPI was completed by Graham Everett at Road Atlanta prior to purchase. The engine was installed in the car and approximately 1000 shakedown miles have been covered dialing everything in. Motor is extremely strong, producing approximately 190hp. MFI has been removed and replaced with a beautiful set of PMO carburetors and K&N filters with rain guards. Engine has a 123 Blue Tooth distributor with MSD 6-AL ignition with programable advance curve options. Headers are B&B 1 5/8” heat exchangers with connected heat and a sport muffler. Engine is incredibly powerful, pulls strong, and sounds absolutely amazing. Car has a lightened flywheel with a brand new Kennedy clutch package and a new high torque starter.
    Gearbox:
Gearbox is a 901 tail-shift with recent half shaft and input shaft seal replacements built by Volker Bruckmann with slightly lower than stock gear ratios. The car turns just over 3000 RPM at 70 mph.
    Suspension & Brakes:
Suspension is tastefully lowered with Bilstein coil overs, upgraded Weltmeister torsion bars, and corner balancing.  Car corners on rails and is extremely tight. The car has 911 hub conversion including brakes and calipers with beautifully restored OEM Fuch wheels.
    Paint:
Body was painted and rotisserie prepped in the early 2000’s in Olympic Blue with exhaustive details completed such as the proper installation and location of the oil tank. Paint shows extremely well, body is extremely straight.
    Interior:
Interior is in excellent condition including the dash which is excellent with no cracks.  Gauges function properly and show well. The car has a center console with additional gauges, a Momo steering wheel, a short shift and a well-conditioned top.
    Summary:
This is an absolutely stunning example with no expense spared. Very original narrow body car that is extremely light, fast, and nimble. Car comes with the original steering wheel and a clear Virginia title.  Be sure to view the videos below.  The first one will take you on an exhilarating ride in this 914/6 slot car.
