Starters are completely disassembled and cleaned
Part are basted clean to remove all paint and corrosion
Field coils are tested, replaced or re wraped with new insulated field coil wrapping
Armatures are tested on a growler and a
leakage tester.
Armatures are machined, Commutators are turned, undercut and re polished and sprayed with an insulating varnish
Components parts are cleaned and or new parts are installed
Unit is painted with a quality finish
Starters are tested to insure proper performance.
Alternators are highly detailed to look new period correct
This is an original Delco Remy starter that was
professionally restored here in our factory.
It is a 1107355 with a date code of 5E14 (May 14th 1965)
