    Just when I thought I was done with Dad's Red Cross stuff, I open another box and there's more Red Cross stuff!!!!!
    This is a red and white American Red Cross "years of service" ribbon bar from the 1940-46 time frame.  The body is red fabric with a white, embroidered part on the left edge, cut-out to show the red cross.  There are 7 thin, silver, metal strips attached to the bar.  Each strip represents 500 hours of service (so, 3500 hours service for this bar).  There is slight discoloration to the white embroidered part, otherwise the bar is in good condition.  The rolling clasp pinback is intact and works.  The bar measures 1-15/16" long x 3/8" high.
